SBEM & DSM
BPP provides both SBEM (Simplified Building Energy Model) and DSM (Dynamic Simulation Model) thermal modelling to comply with Part L2a of the Building Regulations. Offering concept guidance, as well as the full range of services from Planning through to Handover, we can ensure that your project is achieving compliance.
SBEM and DSM modelling methods are both approved for compliance assessments, however the increasing demand for assessment complexity and accuracy means that our team are proficient in modelling for, and utilising, DSM to its full potential.
Our models are all simulated within the IES Virtual Environment, a recognised global leading standard and CIBSE AM11 compliant simulation software. To ensure the highest quality of BIM integration, all models are constructed in-house using Revit - allowing BPP to create and import complex models at a faster pace. The fine balance between model complexity and a geometrically accurate thermal model is what we strive for.
